Police: Loose dogs killed pet, bit child

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police in suburban Harrisburg said three loose dogs attacked and killed another dog over the weekend, and one of the dogs also bit a child Saturday night.

Susquehanna Township police the incident occurred Saturday night in the area of the 3300 block of Trinity Road.

Police said the three pit bulls were reported to be running loose at around 7:30 p.m.

Officers responded and captured two of the dogs, but the third evaded capture. It was described as an adult pit bull that is black and brown in color.

The dog owner is facing charges in the incident, police said.

Police are asking anyone who may observed the loose pit bulls in the area to call them at 717-652-8265.
