Copies of Book. 'Insights From Inside' Given to Area High School Students

Posted:

Lynchburg, VA - English students at E.C. Glass High School have a new book to read.

Two hundred copies of the book, "Insights from Inside," were hand-delivered Wednesday morning.

The book is a collection of letters from inmates written to young people, telling them about how bad decisions changed their lives.

Lynchburg City Schools originally got a grant to get the book for students, but an anonymous donor covered the additional cost so each Freshman could have a copy, too.

"Young people are vulnerable and we hope that maybe hearing some wisdom that comes from age and experience might be a powerful tool in helping kids make good choices," said E.C. Glass High School English Teacher Patty Worsham.

Heritage High School also got 200 copies of the book for its students.
