Man, 32, arrested following shooting at York club

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police have made an arrest following an early morning shooting at a York club.

Officers were dispatched to the scene of the shooting at around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning after receiving reports of a man with a gun at The Belmont Banquet and Entertainment Venue in the first block of West 11th Ave.

While at the scene, officials heard one gun shot. Police located the victim, a 29-year-old York County man, who had been shot in the leg.

Officers also found a suspect on scene. Police arrested 32-year-old Michael Enrique Bermudez, also of York County, and transported him to the York County Judicial Center.

Bermudez was charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault and possession of instruments of crime.

The police investigation will continue to determine the motive for the shooting.
