The leading edge of this storm is already moving in this morning with some light snow showers in spots across the Commonwealth. As the morning wears on, expect light snow to give way to a slushy mix of sleet and even freezing rain. This wintry mix could produce some light, slushy accumulations -- especially in the elevations to the north and west of Harrisburg. Be leery of travel for the first half of today. This wintry mix will change to all rain by late this afternoon, and a soaking rain will last through tonight. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected through early Wednesday morning.
When this storm wraps up Wednesday morning, cold air wraps around and produces a brief period of light snow. Once again, this will cause some tricky traveling Wednesday morning into early afternoon. Gusty winds and cold air arrive by Wednesday evening to produce a chilly Thanksgiving for the area. Thanksgiving Day itself will be sunny, cold, and dry!
