A Lancaster man has been charged in two hit-and-run crashes that occurred just moments apart and only one block from each other.
Manheim Township police said 46-year-old Erik A. Lobaina-Llaurado on Oct. 21 rear-ended a vehicle in the 1400 block of Harrisburg Pike and drove away from the scene.
Moments later, Lobaina-Llaurado rear-ended a second vehicle in the 1300 block of Harrisburg Pike and fled that scene as well, police said.
He was apprehended in the 1200 block of Harrisburg Pike when his vehicle became disabled, police said.
He has since been charged with two counts each of accidents involving death or personal injury, duty to give information and render aid, driving a vehicle at a safe speed, and careless driving.
