Renovations at Danville Mall Expected to Boost Holiday Foot Traffic

Danville, VA-- A lot of retailers and malls in the area are getting ready for holiday shoppers tomorrow night and on Black Friday.

the Danville Mall said their renovations are complete just in time for the holiday rush.

They hope their new and improved mall boosts foot traffic the next couple of days and attracts people from all across the region.

For the first time, the Danville Mall will be opening its doors at 8 p.m. Thursday night.

The main anchor stores, like J.C. Penney, Sears and Belk will welcome patrons in on Thanksgiving night.

"We're thrilled to be able to showcase the new mall," said  Coles Hull, Marketing Manager of Hull Story Gibson Inc. "We hope that shoppers enjoy the experience with the new lighting and carpet. We have some great stores and we hope that people in Danville shop local and come to the mall."

River Ridge Mall in Lynchburg and Valley View Mall in Roanoke will also be opening at 8 p.m. and close at 10 p.m. on Friday night.
