Before we give thanks, there is a lot to be done.
From traveling to last minute trips to the grocery store, Thanksgiving Eve is a busy day.
At the Giant in Susquehanna Township, the rush was on for those who traditionally wait until the last minute and others who forgot an essential dinner item.
However, the checkout lines appeared to be keeping up with the holiday rush.
"I am a last minute shopper all the time," Harrisburg's Debbie Gaynes said.
As for the meal before the holiday, we found out that pizza shops are hot spots.
The phone was ringing off the hook at Nikoli's Pizza and Catering in Lower Allen Township, Cumberland County. It's one of their busiest nights of the year, so they doubled their staff to keep up with the rush.
"A lot of family is coming in from out of town, so it's quick and easy for tonight. Carb up before the big meal tomorrow," customer Roy Geiser said.
If you also preferred to drink up, you were not alone. After all, it's one of the biggest party nights for local bars.
And there was a large crowd at the Bourbon Street Saloon on Harrisburg's Second Street...one of the ways many like to prepare before giving thanks.
