Restaurants Busy on Thanksgiving

Posted:

Lynchburg, VA - Dining out is becoming a very popular option for people who want the Thanksgiving feast without all the work.

This is the third year Sachiko's Porter House in Lynchburg has been open on Thanksgiving.

Management decided to start offering a buffet to serve elderly customers, and those without large families.

Anne Feagan is a regular, who works in the health care industry.  She had Thanksgiving dinner at the restaurant.

"We work on holidays, so it's fairly easy for me to take a break, long enough to run up here and get something to eat and then go back and work," said Anne Feagan. "This is great for me. Otherwise, I'd be attached to a TV dinner."

Another restaurant that was open Thanksgiving was the Peaks of Otter Lodge. The manager there tells us they had more than 860 reservations for the Thanksgiving buffet.
