MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Carlisle man was arrested for retail theft after he stole a pair of work boots twice in two months, according to police.

Silver Spring Township police said 33-year-old Ryan A. Stiver on Nov. 23 took a pair of boots from the Super Shoes at 6494 Carlisle Pike and fled in a white Dodge pickup truck.

The truck was stopped in the area of Interstate 81 and Stiver, the passenger in the truck, was wearing the stolen boots, police said.

During the investigation it was learned that Stiver was in the store on Oct. 14 and removed a pair of boots without paying for them, according to police.

The boots he left behind at the store on Nov. 23 turned out to be the boots he had stolen in October, police said.
