Visaggio's hopes to finish rebuilding in 6 to 9 months

ENOLA, Pa. (WHTM) -

The owners of Visaggio's restaurant have set a timetable for when they hope to reopen.

The restaurant was severely damaged by fire on November 10. They hope to have the rebuilding effort completed in the next 6 to 9 months.

The last three weeks have been extremely difficult for Rosemary Lumadue and her family, who have run Visaggio's for 33 years.

"This has almost done me in. It really has," she says. "It was a terrible accident."

But the good news is that the story is not over. The base of the barn survived and is going to be the foundation of rebuilding.

"There's a lot of variables," said Bryan Scott of C & Z Construction. "Our goal would be to have everything wrapped up in the next 6 to 9 months."

That's the long-term goal. Short-term, they have to make it weather-proof.

"By mid-next week, we want to have it under roof, temporary roof put on the building," Scott said.

Rosemary says the family has gotten a ton of support from neighbors, friends, patrons...

"How many people do you know that wake up in the morning, after something like this, and there's boxes of food—right out in front on our front porch," she said. "What do you do, Al? You just keep saying your prayers, and with my family and friends and all my beloved neighbors around...what more do I want?"
