Officials say a Midstate man was arrested at Baltimore–Washington International Airport early Friday morning for having a loaded gun in his carry-on.
The man, from Littlestown, was stopped by TSA officers when the checkpoint X-ray machine detected the handgun in his bag.
The handgun, a loaded .380 Ruger, was confiscated by the Maryland Transportation Authority.
Officials say the man was ticketed to fly to Nashville, Tennessee.
BWI wants to remind the public that weapons, including firearms, firearm parts and ammunition, are not permitted in carry-on bags. They can be transported in checked bags if they are unloaded, properly packed and declared to the airline.
