Police are looking for the driver who struck a Middletown woman in a grocery store parking lot and then fled the scene.
The woman was struck in the rear parking lot of Giant food store, at 450 E. Main Street, just after 6 p.m. Friday, Middletown police said in a news release.
She told investigators she was pushing a shopping cart from the west entrance to the south side of the store when she heard an engine racing before she was hit by a black, midsize pickup truck, police said.
The driver initially stopped, backed up slightly, then drove off at a high rate of speed, police said.
The woman was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
