UPDATE: Pedestrian Struck by Car in Roanoke Co.

Roanoke Co. VA. - Roanoke County investigators are looking for the driver of a car who hit someone and fled the scene.

The Sheriff's Office responded to the 4700 block of Yellow Mountain Road around 5:20 p.m. on Tuesday.

Officers said the driver of the car was going eastbound on Yellow Mountain Road and hit someone walking on the left side of the road.

Investigators say the pedestrian had non life threatening injuries.

The suspect car is described as a white hatchback.

The Sheriff's Office said the car did not stop and kept going toward the Garden City area. They also say the car may have damage on the passenger's side mirror.

Police believe speed played a role in this accident.
