Amber Alert canceled, 4-year-old found safe

PALMERTON, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police have canceled an Amber Alert for 4-year-old Kyleigh Simcsuk of Carbon County, Pa.

According to officials, Kyleigh was abducted from Delaware Avenue in Palmerton at around 6:30 p.m. Saturday evening.

Authorities said her abductor is 25-year-old Timothy Simcsuk, who is described as a white man, 5' 8" tall with brown hair and brown eyes.

The abduction occurred after he assaulted the girl's caregiver, police said. He then fled with the child in a dark green minivan with either a Pennsylvania or California registration.

Late Saturday night, police said Kyleigh Simcsuk had been located and is now safe. No further details were provided.
