NTSB is digging through the debris of the burned apartment at Marks Village. The agency wants to determine what lead to the explosion, which killed a woman and injured eight others. Many people fear another explosion.

The Tuesday morning explosion destroyed one building in Gate City where two families lived. But it forced evacuations in other buildings. People in an estimated 34 units were relocated for the night.

But neighborhood president Robert Walker says some people fell through the cracks. He says some people waited for help for hours, not to receive any. He also met one woman who slept in her car out of fear of her apartment exploding.

40 year old Tyrennise Mabry died. Eight others include four children were injured.
