Historic Pictures of Leggett's Display Donated

Lynchburg, VA - A lot of people are taking a trip down memory lane this Christmas, including the Lynchburg Museum.

ABC 13 recently reported that the museum now has the Santa Claus used in the old Leggett's store Christmas display.

After seeing the story, many of our viewers donated their pictures of the display, too.

Richard Ayres' father in law was the advertising manager and window trimmer for the Main Street store. He donated 20 pictures that belonged to William Daniel.

"It's just a real treasure trove and it all came about because of the donation of the Santa," said Doug Harvey, Lynchburg Museum Director.

The Santa from the Leggett's display is on display again at the museum.

You have through the end of January to check it out.
