Ringgold Teenager Seriously Injured From Car Accident

Posted:

Pittsylvania Co., VA - A Ringgold teenager has potentially life-threatening injuries after a car accident.

According to State Police, Robert Smith II, 19, was driving on Kentuck Road around 3 a.m. Wednesday.

State police say Smith lost control of the car, hit a mailbox, went through a ditch, took out a road sign, and then hit a utility pole. Then they say the car caught fire so badly it was not recognizable.

Thankfully, Smith was out of the car at the time of the fire. He was taken to DRMC. State Police say speed was a factor and say charges are pending.
