Police are investigating an act of vandalism where a potato gun was used to break a large, plate glass window at Cedar Cliff High School.
The potato gun was fired at the planetarium wing from a dark colored sedan with a sunroof, possibly an Audi or a Volkswagen, around 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Lower Allen Township police said.
The car was seen driving through the parking lot of the high school with the potato gun sticking out of a window. The vehicle stopped near the planetarium wing and the gun was fired at the school, police said.
The potato broke a large plate glass window and hit the back wall of the second floor stairway, police said.
Investigators said they are working to get pictures of the suspect vehicle from school cameras.
Anyone with information is asked to call Lower Allen Township police through Cumberland County Communications at 717-238-9676.
