Harrisburg police are investigating the city's latest homicide, which occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, December 21.
Officials received a call about shots fired the parking lot of a bar in the 2300 block of Derry Street at around 1:55 a.m. The caller said that a man had been shot.
Police arrived on scene and found a man on the ground between parked vehicles. EMS was called, but the victim was later pronounced dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
Authorities said this is the 18th homicide for Harrisburg this year.
