CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

State police are investigating whether or not two crimes involving elderly victims in Franklin County are related.

According to officials, a robber entered a 94-year-old man's garage in the 5000 block of Greenvillage on Philadelphia Avenue in Chambersburg by prying open a window and breaking into the house early Sunday morning at 1 a.m.

The victim confronted the robber, who shoved him to the floor and demanded money and a wallet. The robber then looked through the victim's house and fled the scene with an undetermined amount of money.

Police said the robber was between 5'8" and 5'10" with a small-to-medium build. He was dressed in all camo with a camo stocking mask.

That same morning, authorities said a burglar pried open an 87-year-old woman's garage door and broke into her home in the 500 block of Main Street in Marion.

The burglar looked through the victim's house and fled the scene with money and other miscellaneous items that were purchased as Christmas gifts.

State police believe these two crimes are linked. Anyone with information may contact state police at 717-264-5161.
