Rocky Mount, VA - A new date has been set for a second civil trial surrounding that tragic accident two years ago that killed two volunteer fire fighters in Rocky Mount.
The new trial was ordered earlier this month after the judge who presided over the original trial admitted to making an error.
The estate of one of the fire fighters killed, Danny Altice, is suing the estate of the other firefighter killed, and the woman convicted of hitting the fire truck which lead to the accident.
In September, the judge found Teri Anne Valentine negligent and ordered her to pay almost $10,000 in funeral costs.
Chief Posey Dillon, who also died in the accident, was found not culpable.
The scheduled three day trial is set for July 28.
