WAYNESBORO, Pa. (WHTM) -

Officials in Washington Township say a Maryland man whose vehicle was hit by a driver who didn't stop at a stop sign has died.

According to police, Jason Pecho of McConnellsburg was traveling west on Tomstown Road on Saturday when he failed to stop for a stop sign.

He struck the right front fender and door area of a Chevrolet driven by Delbert Stevenson of Hagerstown, Md., who was heading north on Anthony Highway.

Stevenson's vehicle crossed the southbound traffic lane where it left the west side of the roadway and struck an advertising sign.

Pecho's vehicle also entered the southbound traffic lane and was struck by a third vehicle operated by Ordean Bakner of Waynesboro.

Bakner and Pecho were taken to Waynesboro Hospital. Stevenson was airlifted to York Shock Trauma where he later died from his injuries.

Police are still investigating.
