Two men were arrested for shoplifting at a Lancaster County retail store after officers caught them trying to make off with more than $1,200 in merchandise, according to police.
Northern Lancaster County Regional police identified the men as 27-year-old David Disciullo, of Northumberland County, and 38-year-old Charles Cairns, of Chester County.
Disciullo had more than $1,240 worth of merchandise with altered or removed sales tags and security devices when he was taken into custody Monday afternoon at the Target at 960 Lititz Pike in Warwick Township, police said.
In addition, police said a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck in the parking lot was filled with assorted items, and had camouflage tape on the license plate to hinder identification.
Disciullo was charged with retail theft and possessing an instrument of crime. Cairns was taken into custody on outstanding arrest warrants for retail theft and other offenses.
