UPDATE: Bedford Crash Victim's Condition Upgraded

UPDATE: 11:33 a.m.

Bedford, VA - Doctors say a Roanoke man is doing better after a crash in Bedford Monday afternoon.

Jory Stanley, 31, was airlifted to Roanoke Memorial Hospital after police say he was partially thrown from his SUV on Blue Ridge Avenue.

Stanley is now in fair condition, upgraded from critical.

Police say Stanley rear-ended a truck. The other driver was not hurt.

Traffic on 460 was delayed for several hours during the cleanup.

Bedford, VA - A 31-year-old Roanoke man was airlifted to Roanoke Memorial Hospital after a crash in Bedford Monday afternoon.

Police say Jory Michael Stanley rear ended a truck on Blue Ridge Avenue and overturned his SUV around 4:30 p.m.

They say Stanley was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected.

Stanley was flown to Roanoke Memorial Hospital and is listed as stable but critical condition.

Police say the driver Stanley hit was not hurt.

Traffic was delayed several hours while crews cleaned up.

No charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing.

Bedford, VA - One person was airlifted to Roanoke Memorial Hospital after a crash in Bedford Monday afternoon.

The crash was on Blue Ridge Avenue, involving two vehicles, including an SUV that flipped. Firefighters had to stabilize the SUV as EMS workers moved the person inside. The patient was in critical condition at last check.
