HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Two masked men who robbed a suburban Harrisburg gas station on New Year's Eve may be the same bandits who held up a convenience store two nights earlier.

Lower Paxton Township police said one of the robbers was armed with a black and silver revolver when the pair threatened a clerk and stole cash and Newport cigarettes from the Sun Up, at 4617 Locust Lane, just after 7 p.m.

The two were last seen fleeing toward Dartmouth Street, police said.

Police said the crime may be related to a similar incident Sunday night in Oberlin, where two masked men demanded cash from the Turkey Hill at 12 South Harrisburg Street.

Investigators planned to release surveillance images from the gas station on Thursday.
