Chambersburg, Waynesboro to open warming centers

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A newly established warming center is available for Chambersburg residents who don't have enough heat.

The borough will operate the warming center from 3 p.m. Monday to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Eugene C. Clarke Jr. Community Center, at 235 S. Third Street.

The center is open to senior citizens and others at risk for cold-related illnesses.

Waynesboro will also open a warming shelter, at the fire station at 29 S. Potomac Street.

The center will open Monday at 5 p.m.
