With temperatures that could cause frostbite to exposed skin in 10 to 20 minutes, health professionals are reminding people to bundle up and limit their time outside.
"The minute you start to feel cold or you start to feel like you're not feeling well, you need to get inside and get warm as fast as you can," Rebekah Wickenheiser a physician assistant at Patient First said.
Health professionals said if your student has school, keep then inside or maybe in a car longer than usual while they wait for the bus.
If it's a day off school, parents are urged to monitor how long their children are outside.
