Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a woman who tried to pass a counterfeit $100 bill at a suburban Harrisburg store.
Susquehanna Township police said the woman tried to buy a pack of cigarettes with the fake bill Monday night at the Rite Aid on Walnut Street.
The cashier identified the money as fraudulent and called police, and the woman ran from the store when she realized officers were on the way, police said.
Anyone who recognizes her is asked to call Detective Lee Tarasi at 909-9259 or leave an anonymous tip at 909-TIPS.
