YORK SPRINGS, Pa. (WHTM) -

Two Virginia teenagers have been arrested in a home invasion robbery last month where two York County teens were tied up and in a second incident that night where a man was beaten and shot.

Leonard Charles Hayes III, 19, and Joseph Tyrone Henderson Jr., 17, both of Alexandria, Va., each face numerous charges stemming from the robbery in Franklin Township and the attack in Franklintown Borough, according to police.

Investigators previously charged an active-duty soldier stationed at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, 23-year-old Rico Carty Holmes II of Bethesda, Maryland, in both incidents.

Northern York County Regional police said they charged Hayes and Henderson with robbery, conspiracy, aggravated assault, burglary, criminal trespass, unlawful restraint of a minor, theft, and receiving stolen property for the Franklin Township incident.

The 17-year-old victims told officers they were watching television in the early hours of Dec. 8 at a home in the 100 block of Whiskey Springs Road when four people armed with guns and baseball bats walked in the front door, police said.

The teens had their hands and feet bound and their mouths covered with duct tape before the intruders stole semi-automatic rifles and ammunition, according to police.

Authorities said one of the boys recognized Holmes, who had been to a party at the home two weeks earlier and had seen a gun collection belonging to the teen's father.

About an hour after the robbery, the suspects entered the Franklintown apartment of a 24-year-old man as he slept, then assaulted and shot him multiple times, police said.

The victim was treated at a hospital and eventually released.

According to the criminal complaint, the victim identified Holmes as one of his attackers.

He told investigators he and Holmes had been in physical and verbal confrontations since Holmes had punched an acquaintance of his in the face at a party, and that Holmes had sent a text message threatening that he was "coming to shoot" him, the complaint states.

State police charged Hayes and Henderson with conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, criminal trespass and simple assault.

Henderson is charged as an adult in both crimes. He and Hayes were being held in Virginia pending their extradition to Pennsylvania.

Police said additional arrests are pending.
