Danville, VA-- 20 Danville kids with a love for theatre are getting a chance of lifetime-- to perform in front industry professionals.
The Junior Theatre Company of the Historic North Theatre is gearing up for a national children's theatre festival in Atlanta next weekend. They will be performing the musical, Aladdin Junior.
The whole weekend they'll be in workshops improving their dancing, singing and acting skills.
"We learn a lot from the people who are going to be doing the workshops and just from being in the experience of being in the play and in the rehearsals," said Mae Gayle Dalton, who is part of the group.
The group of 20 will be just some of the 4,000 students that attend the festival every year.
