LEBANON, Pa. (WHTM) -
A water main break has caused water issues for South Lebanon Township residents.
Officials are putting residents in the area under a boil water advisory for the next 48 hours, until proper testing can be done.
The break happened around 6:00 Monday morning at the intersection of Metro Drive and Meadow Drive.
Officials say residents in the area may have received dirty water before the water department shut off the water main. Currently, less than a dozen customers are without water.
The break caused a loss in pressure and officials say some dirt may have entered the waterline.
Crews are working to flush the water system and put it back into service.
Residents should use bottled water, or boiled tap water for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth and food preparation.
