Visitation, Funeral Service Set for Fallen State Trooper

Martinsville, VA - The visitation for a Henry County trooper who died after a car crash over the weekend is set for Monday night.

Sergeant Micheal Phillippi crashed his cruiser on Route 57 in Henry County while on duty early Saturday morning. He later died at the hospital.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.

Phillipi's family will receive friends at McCabe Memorial Baptist Church in Martinsville.

Phillipi's funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday at 11 a.m. at McCabe Memorial. He will be laid to rest on Wednesday.
