Three suspects are behind bars in Etowah County charged with burglary and theft in connection to approximately twenty cases in Etowah County, Sheriff Todd Entrekin announced Monday.

Below is a news release from the Etowah County Sheriff's Office.

Burglary Arrests

Three individuals have been arrested and charged with burglary and theft in connection to more than a dozen cases in Etowah County, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

Michael Shayne Green, 43, of Gadsden, is charged with 10 counts of third degree burglary, one count of first degree theft of property, eight counts of second degree theft of property, five counts of third degree theft of property and one count of arson. Bond is set at $105,000 cash and $25,500 property.

Russell Carl Sharp, 48, of Gadsden, is charged with 10 counts of third degree burglary, one count of first degree theft of property, eight counts of second degree theft of property, five counts of third degree theft of property and one count of arson. Bond is set at $105,000 cash and $25,500 property.

Amanda Cate Holland, 34, of Gadsden, is charged with three counts of third degree burglary, one count of first degree theft of property and four counts of second degree theft of property.  She has a $45,000 cash bond.

The trio allegedly broke into 20 residences between November 1, 2013 and January 8, 2014.  The thefts occurred at homes located in Attalla, Gadsden, Glencoe and Southside.  Of the 20 burglaries, 13 occurred in unincorporated areas of the county.

A cell phone left behind at a residence on Tom Cat Road, Ball Play community, led to the arrests of Green, Sharp and Holland on January 8.  Sheriff's Office investigators verified the phone belonged to Green and at that point began surveillance at his residence on Bryan Street, Walnut Park.

While a search warrant was obtained and then executed at the house, investigators witnessed Sharp unloading stolen property from a vehicle and found Green and Holland inside the residence.

A large amount of stolen items such as jewelry, guitars, cameras, antique clocks, power tools, clothing, video game system, collectable coins, silverware, 14 guns and electronic devices were found inside the home.

Green, Sharp and Holland are each currently being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center.  The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
