HANOVER, Pa. (WHTM) -

Hanover Borough Police arrested a New Oxford man who allegedly robbed a suspected bank robber at a Hanover motel.

It happened around 6 p.m. on January 8 in the 900 block of Carlisle Street.

Police say the victim, 23-year-old Ryan Palmer, of Littlestown, identified his attacker as 25-year-old Jerome Dixon Jr.

Palmer was wanted by the Littlestown Police Department for allegedly robbing a bank on January 7.

When he was arrested, Palmer told police the bank money was taken when he was assaulted and robbed earlier in the evening at the motel.

Officials determined Palmer had injuries consistent with an assault.

They say Palmer identified one of his attackers as Dixon and described a second attacker as a male with a husky build.

Police put out an arrest warrant for Dixon and found him at his New Oxford home on Saturday night.

Dixon was charged with robbery, criminal conspiracy, simple assault, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

He was later committed to York County Prison on $20,000 bail.

Police say the money taken during the robbery has not been recovered and ask anyone with information regarding this incident to contact them at 717-637-5575.
