Ever dreamed of owning your very own Conestoga wagon?
An auction in Harrisburg next month could be your chance.
The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission will sell one of its covered wagons along with books, agriculture tools, prints and engravings, and an assortment of 19th and 20th century household objects.
The pieces have no special significance to Pennsylvania history, or already exist in the state's collection.
The auction will be held Saturday, Feb. 15 beginning at 10 a.m. at 1500 Paxton Street in Harrisburg. Public inspection of the items begins at 9 a.m.
The items were formerly held at the Anthracite Heritage Museum, Brandywine Battlefield, Bushy Run Battlefield, Conrad Weiser Homestead, Daniel Boone Homestead, Drake Well Museum, Ephrata Cloister, Eckley Miners' Village, Fort Pitt Museum, Landis Valley Village and Farm Museum, Pennsbury Manor, Joseph Priestley House, Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, Somerset Historical Center, and the State Museum of Pennsylvania.
