Wife Sues Husband for $25 Million After He Ran Over Her Leg

Posted:

Pittylvania Co., VA - A Pittsylvania County woman has filed a lawsuit against her own husband for millions of dollars.

According to court documents, he ran over her leg last year with their RV. After the accident, the woman had to have her leg amputated.

Court documents explain exactly what happened last February. They say that Jean Price was guiding her husband Clyde Price Jr. as he backed their motor home out of the driveway.

Jean slipped and fell, causing her leg to be in the path of the vehicle.

Clyde backed over her leg, which she later had amputated.

Now, Jean is claiming that Clyde was negligent with the vehicle.

In Virginia, you can legally sue a member of your family, such as your spouse.

However, in this case, Clyde's two insurance companies are also mentioned, which could possibly cover him if he is ever personally negligent.

Jean is suing for $25 million. If she wins, those insurance companies would be the ones to pay out that money.

The couple has been married for 65 years. Jean is 80 years old. She has commissioned a lawyer from Danville.

Jean's lawyer advised her not to talk and didn't want to go on camera.

As of now, they are hoping for a jury trial, but a date has not yet been set.
