Shelby brings Jobs and Industry Tour to Bibb County

Posted: Updated:

U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) will visit Bibb County to meet with employees at Scott Davis Timber Company in Brent. The visit marks the 21st stop in Shelby's statewide jobs and industry tour. He is visiting a business in each of Alabama's 67 counties. Shelby says, "Job creation must be our top priority as a nation, and it will be the focus of my statewide travel. It is critical that I hear firsthand from job creators and workers how federal policies are affecting economic growth, and what we can do to create more jobs in Alabama."

Shelby will be in Brent Thursday, January, 23 at 8:00 AM. Scott Davis Timber Company is located at 1 Industrial Blvd. Shelby's office says that since 1987, the beginning of Shelby's first term in the U.S. Senate, he has held more than 1,800 county visits in Alabama. This visit will mark the 1,830th of his career.
