Chambersburg police and Franklin County Crime Solvers are offering a reward for information that leads to arrests in a series of robberies in the borough.
As many as four young men were involved in the five robberies in November and December, and in each incident at least one of the bandits was armed with a gun, police said.
In one incident on the night of Dec. 20, two young men robbed the Pizza Hut at 928 Lincoln Way East and also demanded money and property from customers. A third suspect guarded the back door, and one of the robbers fired a round from his gun as they fled, police said.
Authorities believe the incident is related to a robbery Nov. 2 in the 300 block of E. Washington Street where three bandits stole a man's wallet, and another hold-up Dec. 4 in the 400 block of E. Queen Street where a lone gunman took a man's money.
Investigators believe the same suspects were involved in a home invasion robbery Dec. 6 in the 700 block of Lincoln Highway East, where four men entered a home through an unlocked door and demanded money and property from three people inside.
In the fifth incident Dec. 27, two robbers demanded the money and belongings of their victims in the 200 block of S. Main Street, police said.
