Police in Mechanicsburg search for Rite Aid robber

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police in Cumberland County are searching for a man who robbed a Mechanicsburg Rite Aid.

On Friday at around 2:30 p.m., officers were called to the Rite Aid Pharmacy in the 7000 block of Wertzville Road for a report of a robbery.

The suspect was described as a white man in his mid- to late 20s, around 5'9" with a thin build. He wore a dark hooded jacket with a stripe on both sleeves that extended from the shoulder to the wrist. He also wore a baseball cap and dark "female style" sunglasses.

According to police, the robber entered the pharmacy and handed the clerk a note demanding pharmaceuticals. No weapon was displayed.

The suspect then fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.
