With snow in the forecast Tuesday, PennDOT said it will get an early start.
Crews are set to start around 4 a.m. Tuesday ahead of the snowfall, local PennDOT representatives say.
Salt residue that is presently on the roads will help, they said.
Still, drivers should expect a slow go during both morning and afternoon commutes due to anticipated duration of the snow event.
Officials want drivers to keep an eye out for snow drifts and freezing on the roadway once the snow stops falling.
PennDOT officials said speeds on major highways could be reduced during the storm.
