A 16-year-old Ephrata boy was struck by a vehicle Monday evening while crossing North Reading Road.
The boy sustained traumatic injuries and was transported to Lancaster General Hospital after he was struck at around 5:45 p.m., borough police said in a news release.
Police said multiple witnesses reported that the teen disregarded the traffic control signal and suddenly crossed the roadway without the right-of-way.
The teen's name was not released.
