Did you need a hot meal on a cold day without the hassle? Plenty of Midstate residents dialed up local pizza shops on Tuesday and delivery drivers braved the snowy roadways to bring orders right to customers' front doors.
While some businesses closed, The Wild Tomato in Lower Paxton Township stayed open and the orders kept coming in. The steady stream of business came from hungry customers that did not want to venture out themselves.
Turns out going the extra mile pays off.
"I had a couple who said, 'hey you went above and beyond.' They put a little tip on the credit card and handed me some cash too. So they appreciate the extra effort is takes on a day like this," delivery driver Dave Troutman said.
