A Carlisle man was arrested Wednesday after he threatened two people with a sword, according to borough police.
Ronnie Rush, 56, was charged with simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment following the incident in the 100 block of N. Bedford Street.
Officers had responded to the address for a report that a man was chasing a woman with a sword.
Once there, the officers learned that Rush had been in an argument with a 41-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man, and when the argument escalated he retrieved a sheathed sword, police said.
Rush threatened the victims while moving toward them with the sword, which ultimately was wrestled away from him before officers were called, police said.
He was sent to Cumberland County Prison on $10,000 cash bail.
