Local Veterans to Lay Wreath at Arlington

Posted:

Lynchburg, VA – Four local veterans will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery in May.

Members of the Monument Terrace Troop Rally were nominated by Jerry Price. The ceremony is set for Mother's Day morning.

"To me it's an honor to represent Monument Terrace and the veterans from Lynchburg to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier," said troop rally organizer Steve Bozeman. "I just can't believe it. It's one of those wonderful experiences. I just can't wait to get there."

The veterans are renting a bus to take to Arlington, so the other veterans are able to witness the special moment from the spectator gallery.
