A Martic Township man was arrested after reportedly making threats by phone to the assistant principal of Marticville Middle School in the Penn Manor School District.
According to police, the call was made on Wednesday morning just before 8 a.m. and involved references to using "buckshot."
State police were contacted after the suspect, 45-year-old Kevin Shertz, arrived at the school. He was unable to enter the building as it had been placed on lockdown.
Shertz then left the school before troopers arrived at the scene. Troopers located Shertz in his vehicle nearby and took him into custody without incident.
Officials charged Shertz with aggravated assault, simple assault and terroristic threats.
