The winter can do a number on your tires. Tread and traction aside, car professionals say the dip in temperature has been lowering tire pressure and that can cause problems down the road.
"You can lose control awful fast," Chuck Leh, a service adviser at Pep Boys on Jonestown Road in Lower Paxton Township said.
"It makes your whole vehicle, your shocks, everything ride harder than what they normally would," Leh said.
It's recommended you check your tires and when needed, add air. However, many of our viewers have noticed that the compressors at a lot of area gas stations stopped working. Turns out those are not immune to the cold either.
Pep Boys employees say they will check and put air in your tires for free.
