A York County man told police he stopped two people from burglarizing his home when he caught one of them in a bedroom.
Northern York County Regional police said the owner of the home, in the 800 block of Lefever Road in Jackson Township, was in the basement Thursday afternoon and heard people walking around on the first floor.
He said he found a man in his early to mid 20′s rummaging through a dresser drawer and yelled at him. The intruder called out to a second person and both fled in a blue Cadillac that was parked in the driveway, police said.
The home owner reported that jewelry was taken, police said.
