Funeral Arrangements Set For Baby Found Dead in Pulaski Co.

Pulaski Co., VA - Visitation and funeral arrangements have been made for Cory Cole, the five-month-old found dead in Pulaski County last week.

No one has been charged in Cole's death yet, but police have the boy's father, Howard Cole, in custody and charged with child abuse. He is also the suspect in Cory's death.

Cory Cole's funeral begins at 2 p.m. Thursday before being laid to rest in a private family cemetery in Pulaski County.

Beforehand, family and friends can pay their respects at a visitation at Bower Funeral Chapel that starts at noon.

There was a huge turnout at Monday night's candlelight vigil for the little boy.

There is a large community outpouring for the mother of the child, Samantha Warden, who told ABC 13 Monday night just how much the support has meant to her.

"It means the world to me that my family and friends were able to come and also that the community came to show their support for Cory... and their love for Cory. It means a lot to me and my family," Warden said.

ABC 13 was told Tuesday by Pulaski Police Chief Gary Roche that there is no hurry in bringing additional charges against Howard Cole, but the investigation is on-going.

Cole is facing not only the child abuse charge but two unrelated felony cases.

With no bond hearing set yet, authorities say they are not worried Howard Cole will be out any time soon.
