Amtrak has suspended its Keystone Service between Philadelphia and Harrisburg for the remainder of the day.
A statement on Amtrak's website blamed a series of weather-related issues, including downed trees in wires and on the tracks in multiple locations.
According to the statement, at least 45 trees were reported down this morning.
The fallen trees caused problems with the overhead electrical system and prevented the safe operation of service.
Tree trimming crews were working to clear the railroad as quickly and safely as possible, but there was no estimated time for service restoration.
