Red Cross to open shelter in York

Posted: Updated:
YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -

The American Red Cross is opening a shelter for York residents who are unable to stay in their homes because of power outages caused by the winter storm.

The shelter will open at 2 p.m. at the York County School of Technology, at 2179 S. Queen Street.

It will remain open until residents are able to return to their homes.

The Red Cross said it is ready to provide additional services, such as overnight sheltering, if it becomes necessary.
